Matching, simulation and optimization of the new power transmission device for an electric vehicle

Abstract

A new power transmission device including a governor motor and a planetary reducer is proposed for an electric vehicle. The rational selection and matching calculation of the parameters of its motors and power transmission device are conducted, the power performance of the vehicle is simulated under the environment of Matlab/Simulink, and the parameters of power transmission device are optimized. The results show that the power performance and energy economy of the electric vehicle meet practical requirements.
