Manufacturing resource selection technology based on rapid extended manufacturing environment

Abstract

Rapid Extended Manufacturing (REM) was proposed based on IT technology and network technology aiming to deal with armament rapid batch variable production. The difference between REM and networked manufacturing was also discussed. Manufacturing resource selection assessment index was classified as time index, cost index, history index, general index, resource status index and manufacturing capability index, comprehensive manufacturing resource assessment system was hence established. Lastly, manufacturing resource selection strategy and implementation algorithm were put forward by using both Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and grey relation theory. Moreover, manufacturing resource selection process based on multi-hierarchy grey relation theory was studied by manufacturing of a key complicated part in airplane.
