N2 - In order to analyze the longitudinal flight quality of the small diamond wing configuration Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), both the longitudinal dynamic characteristics with and without a control system are studied in this paper. The calculation of aerodynamic and modal characteristics is the basis of flight quality research. The rationality of flight quality evaluation is researched by adding the stabilization control system, and the flight quality characteristics of the small diamond wing configuration UAV at different altitudes are analyzed. A gust load alleviation (GLA) control system is designed according to the method of second-order system, and the flight quality of the small diamond wing configuration UAV in the '1-cos' longitudinal discrete wind gust model is analyzed. The analysis of this paper can provide some references for the conceptual design and flight quality evaluation of the diamond wing configuration UAV.
