Abstract

A load transfer method is proposed for data of temperature, pressure and displacement etc., transferring between dissimilar CSM(computational structural mechanics) and CFD(computational fluid dynamics) interface meshes involved in loose coupling solid-fluid problems. The method divides complex interface into several small-simple faces and defines each face a local coordinates system. For each face a mapping algorithm is built to project the 3D face into a 2D parametric space. By this way load data distribution in 3D space is projected into 2D parametric space. Then, interface load data can be transferred in parametric space. Comparing with former load transfer method, the mapping procedure is simplified and accelerated in the proposed method with the same load transfer accuracy. To verify the proposed method, a pressure transfer problem is provided at the end. The results show the method is accurate and precision.
