Abstract
The magnetic properties are measured of melt‐textured YBa2Cu3O7–δ samples (hereafter referred to as YBCO) before and after being irradiated by slow neutron beam of low fluence and it is found that the pinning force and critical current density of such YBCO samples have a large increase due to irradiation of slow neutrons, and that slow neutrons of low fluence and fast neutrons of high fluence may have similar irradiation effects on high‐Tc superconductors.
