Abstract

The accuracy of wind tunnel model attitude determination is one of the main factors influencing data quality especially drag coefficient due to use in coordinate transformation between model axis and wind axis for internal strain gauge balances. To improve angle of attack and sideslip angle measurement accuracy and precision in a wind tunnel, a series of sensors and measurement systems have been developed. This paper presents the advantages and drawbacks of the dominant systems and analyzes their key techniques. The future research suggestions are addressed in the end.
