Abstract

Thermal conductivities of most thermally conductive polymer composites are still below the expectation, and one of the important reasons is the inherent phase interfaces in polymer composites and the high interfacial thermal resistance. This chapter introduces the basic concept of interfacial thermal resistance inner thermally conductive polymer composites, summarizes the progress of researches on interfacial thermal resistance inner polymer composites from different perspectives: models, simulation, measurement methods, and ways to decrease the interfacial thermal resistance, and finally clarifies the present problems of studying interfacial thermal resistance and corresponding possible solutions.
