Abstract
A novel borate ester containing amino group as bonding agent was synthesized. The structure of the borate ester was characterized by IR. The interaction between the borate ester bonding agent (BEBA) and HMX crystal were characterized by IR and XPS. The results show that the coordinate-bond and inductive interaction are formed between boron atom and NH2 group of BEBA and NO2 groups of HMX, the binding energy peaks of B1s and N1s shift about 0. 8eV. The vibrating peak of nitro group of HMX-BEBA has been found to shift about 3cm-1. These facts prove that BEBA is available for bonding HMX.
