Abstract
The translation-torsion coupling model and motion equation of multi-story frame structure are established. The intelligent control device is used for the control of translation-torsion coupling responses of multi-story frame structure suffering from earthquake. The theory of linear quadratic Gauss optimal control is used for the controller design of the active vibration isolation system. The results of an example illustrate that this intelligent control device can efficiently reduce the structural translation-torsion coupling responses induced by earthquake.
