Abstract
This paper analyzes the ITS' features and essentials from the view of computer science, abstracts two important research points of ITS information platform; one is context aware computing, the other is asynchronous and distributed system management. The context aware computing provides information and knowledge for each entity to decide what to do, and let the whole ITS to achieve intelligent transporting. The abstraction of ITS information platform has two features: the one is this kind of abstraction reflects the objectivity of ITS, the other is this kind of abstraction is suitable for research and development from the view of computer science.
