Abstract
The counterpart volume ratio influences the distribution of friction heat in dry tribological system and the dry tribological properties of materials. The investigations on cast iron/40Cr steel tribological and brake shoes running indicate that the wear rate and friction coefficient decrease with the losing of cast iron. The stability of tribological properties for compacted graphite cast iron is better than that of grey cast iron.
