Abstract
For the design of high pressure ratio mixed-flow compressor, the common method is too rely on the impeller performance which is easily lead to more serious diffuser-impeller matching problem. A integrative design method is present. The impeller/diffuser is treated as a whole and the design process is controlled by the matches between the impeller and diffuser, diffuser and diffuser to get the overall stage performance and the final design goals is got by optimizing the integration design. A complete design of a mixed-flow compressor is introduced on the basis of one-dimensional integrative design approach. The ultimate 3-D analysis shows that the whole stage performance meets the design requirements which prove that the integrative design methods can be used to mixed-flow Compressor design.
