Abstract

According to the analysis of the challenges faced by current manufacturing execution system, the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) enabled manufacturing system was put forward. Based on the advanced techniques such as sensor network, information technology, the overall architecture of IoT-enabled manufacturing execution system was presented. Under this architecture, the key technologies including sensor network based manufacturing things perception, multi-source manufacturing information active perception and value-added mechanism, manufacturing process dynamic optimization, production quality online control, diagnosing and tracing etc. were described respectively. The proposed methods and technologies provided important referential value for applying IoT in manufacturing field.
