Abstract
The oxidation behavior of a cast Ni-base K424 in air over the temperature range of 600-800°C for period up to 100 h has been studied. The results indicated that oxidation kinetics obey parabolic law. The oxide scales consist of the oxide of Ni, Al, Cr and Ti. The infrared emissivity was tested by spectral radiometer SR5000. The results show that the surface state, oxidation time and oxidation temperature all have important influence on infrared emissivity.
