Abstract

The global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal amplitude is extremely weak through the atmosphere to the ground. Accurate interference detection is an urgent issue to avoid the influence of a wide range of jamming in the complex electromagnetic environment. In the state-of-art interference identification methods, the low reliability of deception interference is the most intractable problem, which seriously affect the classification performance of other interferences. In order to solve this problem, a GNSS signal authentication method is proposed in this paper based on power monitoring and early-late phase (ELP) metric. Under the Bayesian framework, this method utilizes hypothesis testing and simultaneously monitors the received power and the early-late phase metric to achieve effective classification of interference sources in the received signal and improve the reliability of deception interference classification. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method has high reliability for interference detection and classification, particular for the spoofing detection. At the same time, the feasibility of the algorithm is verified through experiments with actual data.
