Abstract

Based on multi-symplectic idea, the generalized multi-symplectic integrator method is presented to solve dynamic response of bridges subjected to moving loads. The formulations with a generalized multi-symplectic conservation law are deduced, the Preissmann scheme and the discrete generalized multi-symplectic conservation law error formulation are obtained. Numerical example results show that the accuracy of the generalized multi-symplectic method is higher than those of the Newmark method and the precise integration method, and this method is an efficient algorithm with excellent long-time numerical stability as the multi-symplectic method.
