Abstract

The ideal point method in optimization theory was selected to estimate the life cycle cost and effectiveness for torpedo weapon systems. The concept of closeness degree of fuzzy mathematics was used to compute the distance between the life cycle cost/effectiveness and the ideal point/negative ideal point. As examples, four torpedo weapon systems were estimated. The results indicate that this method can be used practically.
