Abstract

The forging process of blade with a tenon is simulated and analyzed by using a 3-D FEM code to obtain forming laws in the precision forging process of blade. Physical modeling validates the results of numerical simulation using plasticine as modeling material. A good agreement of the numerical simulation results and the physical modeling results shows that the results of the numerical simulation are reliable in the forging process of blade with a tenon. This study is important to the optimum design of the billet in the precision forging process of blade.
