Abstract

In order to understand the fluid distribution, the square ECM machining gap flow field mathematical model has been built. It is based on the current flow field theory of ECM; and the machining gap of ECM the square hole is taken as the research subject. COMSOL software and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) have been applied. Under the condition of the same inlet flow velocity and outlet pressure, flow field numerical simulations of the machining gap channels have been carried on towards three different shaped cathodes. In the end the influence of the electrolyte flow velocity and the pressure towards the fluid distribution is summarized.
