FEM analysis on the temperature field during composite tube liquid-solid extrusion forming process

Abstract

The FEM mathematic model of the non-steady temperature field in liquid-solid extrusion composite process was built, the relative simulation software was programmed, the temperature field of the composite tube forming process is simulated, and the temperature field distribution figures of the whole process, by which the forming quality of the tube is predicted, were obtained. The inner reason that influences the tube forming quality was analyzed with the experimental data. The simulation results are in agreement with the experiments, which provides a theoretic basis for the further understanding of the metal flow law and the rational choice of the process parameters.
