Abstract

The ignition performance of Mg and CO2 was studied by a self-designed experimental device. The ignition phenomena of the reaction Mg and CO2 was clearly exhibited by kinescope, which provided the checkout of temperature curve and also validated the combustion mode of the Mg and CO2. The ignition temperature of reaction of Mg and CO2 was confirmed, middling scale Mg was ignited at 960 K and the change law that the temperature is raised as the increase of particle diameter is revealed.
