Experimental study of effect of reinforcer on deposition rate of C/C composites

Abstract

In order increase, the density of C/C composites significant and deposition rate. the reinforcer should be carefully prepared in two respects: (1) The carbon fibre reinforcer should be so made as to make its holes regular in shape and evenly distributed. Such reinforcer can increase the amount of carbon atoms transported for deposition. (2) The carbon fibre reinforcer should be so graphitized and surface treated as to speed up deposition rate through faster surface reaction.
