Experimental investigations on strengthening two-phase detonation

Abstract

Based on the mechanism of deflagration-to-detonation in gaseous mixture, some potential methods for strengthening two-phase detonation are deduced, and then are investigated experimentally. As a result, the most effective method for enhancing two-phase detonation is obtained. It is shown that the ideal C - J detonation is successfully produced in this pulse detonation engine model and it can work properly.
