Abstract
The experiment and numerical simulation were carried out for cold flow of plug nozzle. The pressure distributions on the wall surface of the plug nozzle models with two different truncated lengths were measured under different nozzle pressure ratios and the schlieren photos of typical cases were taken. Second order NND scheme was adopted. The pressure distributions of numerical results agree well with the experimental results. The results validate the altitude compensation mechanism of plug nozzle and are helpful for plug nozzle design and performance prediction.
