Abstract

To improve surface integrity and mechanical properties of aero engine blade, the influencing laws of processing parameters on polishing force of abrasive cloth flap wheel were determined through a single-factor experiment. Parameters variation ranges of binary quadratic regression orthogonal rotation combination test were concluded from the experimental analysis on stability of polishing force and material removal, based on which a prediction model of normal polishing force was established. The correlation between normal and tangential polishing forces was analyzed. Influence law and mechanism of polishing force on polishing surface roughness were discussed. On this basis, a polishing experiment for blade (back of blade) of whole disk was carried out. Experimental results showed that eligible surface roughness and higher polishing efficiency than manual operation could be obtained by controlling the polishing force reasonably.
