Electrostriction effect of electro-rheological fluid and its application in flexible micro-actuator

Abstract

On the basis of the experimental study of electrostriction effect for the electro-rheological fluid, the principle of the flexible microactuator was proposed. The mechanical model of microactuator with three chambers was built and the relationship between electric field intensity and deformation parameters of the flexible microactuator was derived.
