Abstract

The effects of water spray mode on water ramjet performance were studied under the same fuel gas parameters and total water fuel ratios conditions. The conclusions were validated partially by the test data. The results show that at least two principles should be obeyed during designing the water spray mode for obtaining higher specific impulse, namely, mass flow ratios of H2O and Al should be nearly 1:1, and rear water spray location should be possibly close to head so as to make water fog evaporated completely.
