Abstract

Five Ti-V-Cr alloys were prepared, and their mechanical properties were tested after forged, heat-treatment and thermal exposure. The results show that the heat-treatment produces little strengthening effect on their mechanical properties at room temperature, which mainly adjusts the forged microstructures. Al strengthens the mechanical properties at room-temperature, refines their microstructures and decreases their thermal stability; V element produces a little strengthening effect on their mechanical properties at room-temperature, and the thermal stability increases with increasing of V element; Cr element produces stronger effect on the mechanical properties and microstructures, compared with that of Al and V element. Their strength decreases, plasticity increases and thermal stability increases with decreasing Cr element content.
