Abstract
Plated-like Bi4Ti3O12 powder with anisotropy was prepared by NaCl-KCl molten salt method. Effects of calcination temperature and salt quantities on anisotropic microstructure of Bi4Ti3O12 powder were investigated. The rate of radial size to thickness size of plated-like Bi4Ti3O12 powder was calculated to express the degree for anisotropy. The results show that the Bi4Ti3O12 particle size and the degree of anisotropy increase with the increasing calcination temperature and molten salt quantities. The best calcination temperature is 950°C. The textured Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics with plated-like grain can be obtained by sintering Bi4Ti3O12 powder with large anisotropy at 1100°C.
