Abstract

A dual-frequency absorbing structure is designed based on frequency selective surface in this paper. The unit is made up of two resonant rings nested together. The proposed structure can absorb more than 98% of electromagnetic waves at 5.86GHz and 9.30GHz. The two absorbing frequency has an independent adjustability by tuning the geometry. Furthermore, the structure is insensitive to the polarization characteristics, and it can keep an absorption even the incident angle increases to 60°.
