Abstract

A novel direct torque control system based on space vector modulation (SVM-DTC) for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) was proposed. Reference voltage vector computation module and space vector modulation module were used in the novel system instead of switching table and hysteresis controller in conventional direct torque control system. Therefore, the errors of torque and flux linkage could be compensated accurately. The whole system has only one easily adjustable PI adjuster and needs no high for hardware and easy for realize. The simulation verifies that SVM-DTC is capable of effectively improving the steady state performance and keeping the excellent dynamic performance of the conventional DTC system simultaneously and remain the switching frequency constant.
