Abstract
Being a new approach for fabrication of carbon and ceramics matrix composites, the forced-flow-thermal gradient chemical vapor infiltration (FCVI) process overcomes the problems of slow diffusion, restricted permeability, resulting in shorter densification time with uniform infiltration and good properties. The FCVI technique was described. The fundamental characters, perform fabrication, critical parameters as well as the development of modeling and simulation were reviewed.
