Abstract

Driving simulator provides an available method to train driver's operation skill without actual vehicle. Amphibious driving simulator was built to solve the driver's operation skill in water problem. Hardware components and system structure were given, a real-time simulation computer system adopting Ethernet and Local bus based on PC was used to solve the information exchange between computers and simulated cabin. In order to reduce developing cycle and improve maintainability and perform efficiency, the vehicle dynamical model in water was realized based on COTS software Matlab/Simulink. Experiments shows that the simulator can fulfill the requirement of driver's operation skill training and the performance of the simulator can keep consistent with actual amphibious vehicle.
