Abstract

A wideband dual circularly polarized antenna excited by rectangular waveguide with an all-metal structure is proposed in this paper. By introducing notches at the sidewall of the end of the waveguide, the axial ratio bandwidth of the proposed antenna is enhanced. The simulated results show that the proposed antenna has an operation bandwidth of 62.2%. Within the above bandwidth, the reflection coefficients are lower than -12 dB, the isolations between two ports are higher than 20 dB, and the axial ratios are lower than 3 dB. The gain of the proposed varies from 5.3 to 8.5 dBi with frequency (22.5-43 GHz).
