Abstract

Hyperbranched poly (amine-ester) (HBP) was synthesized via one-step procedure. Viscosity of HBP was tested. Dendritic hyperbranched polymers (HBP) as tougheners in epoxy resins was prepared for polymer. The impact strength and bending properties were studied. Impact fracture morphology was observed with SEM. As a result, the viscosity of HBP decreased with the increasing temperature. The impact strength is increased from 9.8 kJ/m2 to 22.4 kJ/m2. HBP has effect on bending strength and modulus. Impact fracture morphology behave toughness feature.
