Deformation phenomenon of P/M Ti-5Al-2.5Sn(ELI) alloy

Abstract

The deformation properties of P/M Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (ELI) alloy has been studied by tensile test, TEM and SEM. The results show that Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (ELI) alloy existed features toothed stress-strain curve, multiple necking and non-uniform deformation under the cryogenic condition. It is related to the deformation phenomenon of twinning and dislocation slipping in the alloy.
