Abstract

Based on the characteristic of model-based intelligent digital engine control, a decentralized multivariable PI control design method for turbofan engine is presented for a given turbofan engine with the direct thrust control mode as an example. The stability of decoupling controller was ensured by employment of the zero assignment method and decentralized control was obtained by using the stability decoupling matrix. Then the PI tuning method of SISO was used to obtain the optimal PI controller for each loop. The method was applied to a certain turbofan engine, and the efficiency of dynamic and static decoupling performance of this method is verified by simulation results.
