Cramér-Rao Bounds for Non-Uniform Linear Cocentered Orthogonal Loop and Dipole Array

Abstract

In this paper, we derive and analyze Cramér-Rao bounds for angle and polarization parameters of time-varying narrowband far-field azimuthal plane waves arriving at a non-uniform linear COLD (co-centered orthogonal loop and dipole) array. Numerical simulation results illustrate the behavior of the COLD array performance with respect to sensor numbers, array geometry, array aperture, and confirm the validity of the obtained CRB expressions.
