Abstract
Computation of the acoustic field in an anechoic tank is important for selection of absorption lining. A simulation model is developed to estimate acoustic field in the anechoic tank, taking into account secondary reflection, variation of absorption coefficient with respect to the incidence angle, and effects of directional sources. The acoustic filed is calculated in different aspects, influence on the free field analyzed under different conditions, and useful conclusions obtained.
