Abstract

In this chapter, we will first discuss the ionic liquid-immobilized nano- super-fine particles, which are homogeneous macroscopically and heterogeneous microscopically, and the nanometal particles behave as a reservoir of the catalytically active metal complex, which may vividly display the possible relations between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyses; then porous materials supported ILs and confined ILs in nanoscale, which, by contraries, are heterogeneous macroscopically and homogeneous microscopically, and will be presented; and finally, the future development of such IL-incorporated hybridizing between hetero- and homogeneous catalyses will be shortly prospected.
