Abstract

This paper presents the asymmetric vortex characteristics and the alternate side force along axis on the leeward of the slender revolution at high angle of attack. The numerical simulation sieves Navier-Stokes equations, uses Jameson's center scheme and modified B-L turbulence model. It is believed that the asymmetric vortex generates at the nose of a revolution. It is believed that the discrete vortex system model is made up of a pair of primary vortices coming from the apex and lateral vortices rolled up along both sides of the body and this vortex system model is reasonable through the numerical simulated result.
