Abstract

To assess the lethality of fragment warhead to armed-helicopter, a vulnerability model of typical target was proposed, which contained geometric/structural components, vital components and non-vital components, and the corresponding damage criterions were also set. The shot line simulation based on THOR equation was introduced, which considered air resistance and multi-part penetration effect of fragments. Based on uniform sampling of explosion position. The spatial distribution of fragment warhead damaging typical target was obtained. The result indicates that the vital region locates near main rotor and tail rotor, and it is more efficient to attack target from top.
