Abstract

APEXER is an interface level simulator for the computation platform which runs ARINC653 operating system. By wrapping a Windows thread as an ARINC653 process, it allows source codes written for target platform to be compiled and executed on a common PC. It provides all interfaces that ARINC653 exposed to users. The most visible benefits are convenient computation platforms and development tools accustomed to use. Experience with several projects shows that APEXER significantly reduces the development and test time for embedded applications.
