Abstract
The influences of the elements on the phase in titanium alloys are discussed based on the d-electron alloy design theory, the miedema thermodynamics mode and the molybdenum equivalent-aluminium equivalent. According to the d-electron alloy design theory, the roles of transition metals can be determined qualitatively. Relatively accurate results about comprehensive effect of alloying elements can be obtained based on the miedema thermodynamics. The analysis of the molybdenum equivalent and aluminium equivalent is quite simple, its corresponding results are nearest to true conditions, and will continuously play an important role during titanium design.
