Abstract

The goal of this paper is the safe use of civil aircraft cabin door in its life cycle, and a complete set of analysis and design methods of the mechanism safety of civil aircraft cabin door is presented. First, based on the accident statistics of civil aircraft cabin door, the major failure mode is analyzed and confirmed. And through analyzing and interpreting of the relevant airworthiness rules, the safety indicators of the major failure mode are confirmed. Then, the analysis of the effect of failure mode and failure tree analysis method are adopted to model and calculate the reliability of each failure mode. Finally, the calculated results are compared with security indicators; safety improvement design needs to be made if they do not meet the requirements. We believe that our analysis method is suitable for the aircraft design process, and can guide the optimization design of the cabin door.
