Abstract

In aircraft cabin door lock mechanism reliability analysis, a great number of calls to the time-consuming simulation models are required for accurate reliability assessment. In order to obtain an accurate reliability assessment with a few calls to simulation model of aircraft cabin door lock mechanism, an adaptive sequential sampling method based Kriging model is proposed in this paper. A new learning function is developed to select the most suitable training samples for updating experimental designs sequentially. All of the selected samples searched by a Genetic Algorithm can be ensured to reside far away from existing samples and reside as close to the reliability classification boundary of original performance function as possible. A stop criterion based on the principle of cross validation is developed to terminate the proposed adaptive sequential sampling algorithm, and it can ensure the accuracy of the constructed surrogate model to be used for reliability evaluation. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method are verified by comparison with direct Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) for reliability assessment of the aircraft cabin door lock mechanism on locking position.
