Abstract

This paper focuses on the source localization based on structured total least squares (STLS) method with hybrid TDOA-AOA measurements. First, A pseudolinear system of equations is constructed from the TDOA-AOA measurements. Considering the matrix and vector in the constructed pseudolinear system are both contaminated by the measurement noise, the STLS method which utilizes the structure of the matrix is proposed to alleviate the severe bias problems associated with the traditional pseudolinear estimator. The proposed method can reduce the impact of noise terms. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed STLS can reduce the bias of the estimate. In addition, the performance of STLS method is better than that of traditional LS method.
