Abstract

An all-fiber tunable Mach-Zehnder interferometer based on an acousto-optic tunable filter cascaded with a tapered fiber is demonstrated experimentally. The passband isolation and the resonant wavelength of the interference fringes can be adjusted by tuning the power and frequency of the driving radio frequency signal applied to the acousto-optic tunable filter in the experimental configuration, respectively.
