Aerial trajectory simulation and analysis of airdropped mine with parachute

Abstract

In order to study the effect of the parachute on the aerial trajectory of the airdropped mine, the appropriate 6-DOF aerial trajectory math model for the airdropped mine with parachute was built adopting momentum theorem and the angular momentum theorem, and the forces model of parachute was also built at some supposes. Then the aerial trajectory of the airdropped mine was simulated. The result of the simulation shows that the airdropped mine can be effectively decelerated by the parachute, and the pose of the airdropped mine can also be suitably modulate by the parachute.
