Adaptive Guidance Law of Laser-Guided Bomb Based on Sliding Mode Variable Structure

Abstract

Aiming at the problem that laser-guided bombs accurately strike ground targets with a certain falling angle constraint, this paper proposes an adaptive guidance law for guided bombs with falling angle constraints based on the algorithm of sliding film variable structure control, combining sliding film variable structure control with adaptive guidance law of guided bombs. Based on the bomb control system, a guided bomb model was built in the MATLAB/Simulink environment, and a six-degree-of-freedom equation was established. On this basis, the longitudinal and lateral guidance laws of the bomb were designed with an adaptive sliding film variable structure, and the falling angle constraint term was introduced to carry out the digital simulation. The simulation results show that this method can make the guided bombs strike the ground targets accurately by comparing with the results of the trajectory shaping guidance law. Meanwhile, the targets can be hit with the desired drop angle, which greatly improves the combat effectiveness of the guided bombs.
